Moving & Grooving
May 4, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
Moving & Grooving – Four-Week Pilot Session with Marie-Claire O’Donoghue from MOVEmeant.
This program is about accessible dance/movement, about feeling good in our bodies – and has nothing to do with ‘looking good’ or ‘getting it right’. Participants will explore movement through various prompts that will encourage connection, body, and emotional awareness. While using various props, exercises, and qualities of movement, this is an opportunity to explore movement from a creative, expressive, and accessible lens.
Marie-Claire O’Donoghue is a Canadian Certified Counsellor and Dance/Movement Therapist intern. Marie-Claire approaches mental health and well-being from a body-based perspective and has a deep understanding of the value of using expressive movement as a tool for overall wellness.
Four-Week Pilot Session is free of charge thanks to Nutrien Carseland Nitrogen. Participants will be asked to complete a Survey following the session. Please pre-register for the full session at [email protected]
